AI art is the new thing — and out of all the Artificial Image Generators that I have tried I'm blown away the most by Midjourney AI. From Cyberpunk cities to apocalyptic landscapes, from Pop art to abstract things and thoughts — you can spend many many hours with it and get lost in the possibilities.
So what's more logical as a music nerd to let AI generate images to your favorite song lyrics? Well, I did exactly that — and asked Midjourney to generate pictures to lyrics from Springsteen to Deicide to Phoebe Bridgers. Here are some of the results.
Phoebe Bridgers — „Kyoto“
„Day off in Kyoto
Got bored at the temple
Looked around at the 7-Eleven
The band took the speed train“
This is what AI came up with:
Bruce Springsteen „Thunder Road“
The screen door slams
As Mary's dress sways
Like a vision she dances across the porch As the radio plays
Roy Orbison singing for the lonely
Hey that's me and I want you only
I just can't face myself alone again
This is what AI came up with:
Deicide - „Sacrificial Suicide“
„Infernal majesty,
take this dead offering Feeding the demon seed,
evil bestowed on me
Exorcise the power of dead
Invert my cross of time
The real of Satan anarchy Inside my scared sign“
This is what AI came up with:
Bob Dylan — „A Hard Rain's A-Gonna Fall“
I've stumbled on the side of twelve misty mountains
I've walked and I've crawled on six crooked highways
I've stepped in the middle of seven sad forests
I've been out in front of a dozen dead oceans
I've been ten thousand miles in the mouth of a graveyard
And it's a hard, it's a hard, it's a hard, and it's a hard
It's a hard rain's a-gonna fall
This is what AI came up with:
Leonard Cohen – „Stranger Song“
It′s true that all the men you knew were dealers
Who said they were through with dealing
Every time you gave them shelter
I know that kind of man
It's hard to hold the hand of anyone
Who is reaching for the sky just to surrender
